In using and ordering from our website, you accept the terms and conditions set out below.
Online Ordering
- Browse the Products section and select the items you wish to purchase.
- When you are finished shopping click on the Checkout button at the bottom of your Shopping Cart.
- Register an account with GAS at Southland or use an existing account
- Confirm your order and delivery options.
- Select the payment options available and confirm payment.
- An email confirmation of your order will be sent to your email
- If the stock is not available, we will contact you within 24 hours to let you know the estimated arrival date and you have the option to accept this order or cancel the order (in the event you need the order urgently)
- Please note our exchange/refund policy.
Payment Methods
We accept credit card payments via Paypal only.
Electronic Funds Transfer
You can pay directly via electronic funds transfer to our bank account.
Phone Order via Credit Card
If you wish to pay using your credit card but would prefer not to pay on-line, then simply choose Phone Payment in the Payment Method section of the Check out process. You will then need to contact us to arrange for payment during our shop hours.
Delivery
We use Australia Post for small items or a courier company for larger items.
Delivery Destinations
We are currently only processing orders for delivery within Australia. For overseas orders, please email us your request or call us and we are happy to discuss the alternative delivery methods.
Shipping Information
We always try to get the best freight charges for your purchases in the simplest way. Postage charge varies depending on the location and the weight of the item(s) purchased. We also have the option for you to pick up at our store if you are located in Melbourne.
We have an in-built postage charge calculator which will help to determine the postage cost to various locations based on the dimensions and weight your purchase.
Delivery Time
Subjected to product availability, all orders will be dispatched within 48 hours of payment. We will contact you soon within 24 hours after your purchase if the order is not available and will confirm if you would like to wait for the item in question. Please allow up to 5 business days for Australian metro areas orders to be delivered. If "In Store Pick Up" delivery method is nominated, then items will be ready for pick up within 24 hours of payment subjected to availability. Should you require your purchase on a specific date please let us know when finalising you order in the "comments" section.
Please allow 4 weeks for all custom orders such as personalised artwork and lettering and up to 6-8 weeks for furniture orders.
Delivery of Your Products
Unless otherwise agreed by us, we will deliver your Products to the delivery address indicated on your Order. If no-one is available to take delivery of your Products, our carrier may leave a card requesting you to telephone and arrange a suitable time and date for delivery.
We will use our reasonable endeavours to deliver your Products to you within 5 working days of the date of receiving the payment; however, we do not guarantee that we will deliver within this time frame.
Alternatively you can pick up your purchase directly at our shop (GAS Westfield Southland, Shop 3065 Westfield Southland Shopping Centre, Nepean Highway Cheltenham VIC 3192). Please call us on 03 9584 3377 to arrange for pick up date and time.
Colours
Colours of items displayed on your monitor may vary from the true natural colour of the fabric. It is possible for you to request a sample swatch prior to ordering; even then there may be minor variations in colour swatches. While all efforts are made to provide you with accurate colour descriptions there may be a variety of reasons why there are colour inconsistencies, for example due to different dye lots.
Stock Availability & Pricing Errors
There may be times when we are temporarily out of stock. Should this occur you will be contacted immediately with suggested alternatives or you may receive a full refund.
Occassionally there may be wrong pricing of certain products due to system/human errors. You will be contacted immediately with the correct pricing and will receive a full refund if you choose not to proceed with the purchase. We will not be obligated to sell any of the products that are accidentally wrongly priced.
Out of Stock Items
While we make every effort to ensure all our items are in stock, and display items as out of stock when our supply runs out, sometimes out of stock situations will occur. If a product you order does happen to be out of stock, we will contact you immediately. Please also note the lead time for personalised items (min 2 weeks) and for furniture (6-8 weeks).
Important note - November and December are very busy months with all the Christmas purchases and whilst we try to deliver all of our orders within the 5 working days, there will be some orders that will take longer to be delivered.
Gift Wrapping
If your purchase is a gift and you would like us to wrap it for you, please let us know in the Comments section.
Exchange / Refund
We value your satisfaction and enjoyment from your purchase from GAS Southland. We do not refund items for cash so please select your products carefully. You could exchange your purchases for different items within 7 days of purchase and we can also issue you with a credit note if the exchanged item(s) is/are below the original amount. Should you wish to exchange your purchase, please contact us. The following conditions must be met for all exchanged items:
- Items purchased must be in its original packaging, unused and all labels intact.
- A copy of the receipt docket to show proof of purchase
Please note that an additional delivery fee as a result of exchange or return will be incurred by you.
Sale items are NOT exchangeable and all sales are final.
CLAIMS
Any electrical items purchased online suspected of being faulty need to be returned, at purchasers cost, to GAS Southland, Shop 3065 Westfield Southland Shopping Centre, 1239-1241 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham VIC 3192 which will be sent to the supplier(s) for assessment. Any goods deemed faulty will be replaced. Should the identical item be no longer available a credit note for the purchase amount will be issued. Postage charges will apply for replacement goods issued. Faulty items need to be returned within 6 months of the purchase date.
All items delivered need to be checked immediately upon receipt. In the case that an item is damaged on arrival this needs to be claimed with GAS Southland within 48 hours of receipt of goods.
Custom Orders
There is a no return/exchange available on personalised items, except in the case of faulty products.
Prices
The price payable by you for the Products will be indicated on your Order Confirmation and is inclusive of goods and services tax as per rates established by the Australian Government. All prices are in Australian dollars.
Tax Invoice
We will email your invoice to you after your order has been confirmed. Your Invoice will be your proof of purchase.
Goods damaged in transit
At GAS Southland, we take great pride and care when sending our wonderful gifts to you. Please note that the risk of loss/damage passes to you upon delivery to Australia Post / Courier service. We will however consider any damage to goods on a case-by-case basis. For any delivery questions not covered above, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and hold your personal information confidentially. We will never pass your details on to another party.
Fraudulent credit card usage
GAS at Southland shall not be held liable nor in any way responsible for fraudulent credit card usage on our website resulting in the subsequent payment for and delivery of products. GAS at Southland will not be liable for refund of monies, in part nor full, should a purchase be made by persons illegally.
Defined Terms
In these terms and conditions:
- "Accessory" means any ancillary Product;
- "gassouthland.com or girlsaccessoryshop.com.au Web Site" means the web site owned and operated by gassouthland.com or girlsaccessoryshop.com.au ABN 69136612229 for customers in Australia and overseas at www.gassouthland.com or girlsaccessoryshop.com.au
- "Warranty" means manufacturer's standard warranty.
- "Condition" means a condition contained in these terms and conditions;
- "Contract" means these terms and conditions together with your Order;
- "Invoice" means the invoice issued by us to you showing the price of the Products and which is your proof of purchase;
- "Order" means an order placed by you in accordance with these terms and conditions;
- "Order Confirmation" means the order confirmation issued by us to you indicating receipt of your Order;
- "Product" means any product listed on the gassouthland.com or girlsaccessoryshop.com.au Web Site which we agree to supply to you on these terms and conditions;
- "Services" means any services relating to Products (including without limitation warranty and telephone support services) that we agree to supply to you on these terms and conditions;
- "Order ID" means the order Id issued by us to you;
- The Contract will be governed by the law of Victoria. Both we and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
